In addition to books, DVDS, and audiobooks, we have so much more available to either use in the library or to check out and use at home. We do not currently have a comprehensive list, but here’s some of the things in our Library of Things.
Ukuleles
You can check out a ukulele to use at home and even join us for Hum and Strum, our ukulele sessions.
Blocks
We have lots of blocks you can check out. From Brackitz (pictured) to Legos to pattern blocks, there’s something fun for everyone.
Digital Microscope
Guess what this is? We used a digital microscope to take a close-up picture of a strawberry and this is what it looks like.
Plastic Lacing Kit
This has lots of plastic lacing and other things you might need to make several different crafts. Check it out.
Yarn Kit
You can check out a kit with yarn, crochet hooks, and knitting needles to try. Maybe you’ll take up a new craft!
Card-Making Kit
This kit contains stamps, stamp pads, colored pencils, stickers, and cards with envelopes.
Robots
We’ve got a couple of different types of robots to check out. Some (like these ones) don’t even require a computer.
Meeting Owl and Mic
We have AV and Teleconference equipment such as the Meeting Owl which has a 360 degree camera and microphone or the snowball microphone.
Binder
Sometimes you need a binder. We have one. We have some spines available for purchase or bring your own.
Puzzles
We’ve got a lot of puzzles of different sizes. They’re in our puzzle and return collection. Just let us know you’ve taken one and it is yours for as long as you need it.
Paint Kit
We are excited about some of our newest kits. This paint kit contains some brushes, paints, a canvas, and some ideas to get you started.
Play to Learn
We’ve got lots of great resources, like these puppets, that will help the kids in your life learn while playing.
Learning Kits
We’ve got lots of kits for learning from sorting for preschoolers to electricity for the older kids (or you), there’s a wide variety to choose from.
Sculpture Kit
We are excited about some of our newest kits. This sculpture kit contains some brushes, paints, clay, and some ideas to get you started.
Sewing Machines
We purchased a few sewing machines to use for quilting classes but they’re available for you to use at other times, too. Let us know. We can set you up with a space.
